Some Christian conversion stories may be more significant than others, that does not make them any more significant than others. God gives people the exact experiences He wants them to have in order to shape the specific destiny He’s designed for them. Sometimes the best way to discern what God wants to do in your life is to hear about the discovery process in someone else’s life.
Accomplishing the impossible is all about seeing the invisible.
When God speaks He does not stutter. When He awakens you to your calling the snooze button stops working.
Time can take you out of your dreams. Routine can weaken your prosperity toward audacity.
Seize- If you want to see God do something impossible in your life, you’ve got to open your heart and mind to God’s vision for your life.
Activate- Audacious faith starts when you choose to step out in strength that’s not your own. Pursuing God’s larger purpose for your life will propel you to pray audacious sun stand still prayers.
Make your move- When you act boldly to do God’s supernatural answers, you’ll find yourself in the middle of a move of God.
This kind of faith doesn’t just change you it also enables you to be part of changing the world.
Seizing God’s vision means deciding that you will not spend another day surviving your work environment, family dynamic or dysfunctional situation. Instead you’ll bring substantial change for the glory of God. That’s a purpose you can build your faith on.
Biblical audacity is a mind-set that approaches God with confidence and believes Him for the impossible. It’s not an activity, it’s an approach. It isn’t qualified by what you do; it’s all about how you do what you do.
Audacious faith- It describes an attitude and a set of actions that are deeply rooted in, even required by, your conviction that all things are possible with God.
It’s not wrong to feel fear, it is wrong to let that fear have the last word in your life.
The people who accomplish the most astounding things for God’s glory aren’t the people who feel the least fear; often they're the ones who deal with the most intense fear. But instead of letting that fear disable their dreams, they start increasing their capacity for faith.
God doesn’t just show you which wave He wants you to jump next. He also positions His strong arm underneath to sustain you every step of the way. He knows every fear you’re facing. He knows all the uncertainties your navigating only their not uncertainties to Him.
A high calling for your life is God’s gift to you. It’s not something you earn. It’s the product of grace. When you ask God to do the impossible He usually instructs you to do something uncomfortable and inconvenient.
Salvation is free. Obedience can be very costly. God chose to accomplish the redemption of this world, by His grace and through the willingness of Jesus to sacrifice His life. God will accomplish the impossible vision He has planted in our heart, by His grace and through our willingness to sacrifice our life for the sake of Jesus.
Grace is something God works in you and by that grace He works faith out of you.
When you really understand God’s work in you, your natural desire will be to surrender your life to Him, to obey Him unconditionally. Before God can do impossible works in your world, you need to let Him do a deep work in your heart.
God is more interested in our internal, spiritual condition. So the apostle Paul talks about a “circumcision of the heart.” One that isn’t mercy, “Outward and physical” (Romans 2:28-29)
This circumcision involves God cutting away everything in our lives that doesn’t bring glory to Him; teaching us to trust in Him alone. God has to work in us before He can work through us.
*When God removes something from our lives, it’s not because He’s trying to take away something good, it’s because He’s trying to make room for something better.
*God always gives back so much more than He takes away.
(Hebrews 12:11) "For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it."
He who lives by the approval of others will die by the absence of the same. Don’t let anybody but God himself put it in your place.
(Romans 8:18) "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us."
*The size of our vision isn’t even determined by who God is. The scope and the impact of your vision will be determined by who you believe God is.
True faith is founded on what you believe about God and what He is capable of. The key is getting a clear and correct view of God, believing that God is actually who He says He is. And that He can do what He says He can do.
(Psalm 62:11-12) "Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work."
*Difficulties are going to come. Walking with God sometimes means walking through trials. But instead of focusing on your situation, remember God’s goodness. God is with you to help, save and heal.
Twelve Audacious Faith Confessions.
1. I am fully forgiven and free from all shame and condemnation.
a. (Romans 8:1-2; Ephesians 1:7-8; 1 John 1:9) 1st "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death." 2nd "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight." 3rd "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
2. I act in audacious faith to change the world in my generation.
a. (Josh 10:12-14; John 14:12) 1st "At that time Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, 'Sun stand still at Gibeon, and moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.' And the sun stood still and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day. There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord heeded the voice of a man, for the Lord fought for Israel." 2nd "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father."
3. I have no fear of anxiety; I trust in the Lord with all my heart.
(Proverbs 3:5-6; Phil. 4:6-7; 1 Peter 5:7) 1st "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." 2nd "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of god, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." 3rd "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
4. I am able to fulfill the calling God has placed on my life.
(Luke 6:38; Philip 4:13) 1st "give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you." 2nd "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
5. I am fully resourced to do everything God has challenged me to do.
(Deuteronomy 8:18; Luke 6:38; Philip 4:13) 1st "You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day." 2nd "give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you." 3rd "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
6. I have no insecurity, because I see myself the way God sees me.
(Gen 1:26-27; Psalm 139:13-16; Eph 5:25-27) 1st "Then god said, 'Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.' So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." 2nd "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." 3rd "Husbands love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish."
7. I am a faithful spouse (If you’re single, you can slip future in there) and a godly parent, our family is blessed.
(Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Eph 5:22-25; Col 3:18-19; 1 Peter 3:1-7) 1st "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." 2nd "Wives, submit to your husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her" 3rd "Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them." 4th "Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. do not let your adorning be external- the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear- but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him Lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening. Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered."
8. I am completely whole- physically, mentally and emotionally.
(Psalm 103:1-5; Matt 8:16-17; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Peter 2:24) 1st "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." 2nd "That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: "He took our illnesses and bore our diseases." 3rd "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." 4th "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed."
9. I am increasing in influence and favor for the kingdom of God.
( Gen 45:4-8; 1 Sam 2:26; Acts 2:37-47) 1st "So Joseph said to his brothers, 'Come near to me, please' and they came near. And he said 'I am your brother, Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are yet five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvest. And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors. So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt." 2nd "Now the boy Samuel continued to grow both in stature and in favor with the Lord and also with man." 3rd "Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Brothers, what shall we do?' And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself' And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, 'Save yourselves from this crooked generation.' So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."
10. I am enabled to walk in the sacrificial love of Christ.
(2 Thess. 2:16; 1 John 3:16; 4:9-12) 1st "Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace." 2nd "By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers." 3rd "In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us."
11. I have the wisdom of the Lord concerning every decision I make.
(2 Chronicles 1:7-12; Proverbs 2:6; Ecclesiastes 2:26; James 1:5) 1st "In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, 'Ask what I shall give you.' And Solomon said to God, 'You have shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and have made me king in his place. O Lord God, let your word to David my father be now fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?' God answered Solomon, 'Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like." 2nd "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." 3rd "For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind." 4th "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."
12. I am protected from all harm and evil in Jesus name.
(Gen 50:20; Psalm 3:1-3; 2 Thess. 3:2-3) 1st "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today." 2nd "O Lord, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God. But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head." 3rd "And that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one."
** Faithfully Jesus led the perfect life we could not live. Faithfully he went to the cross and died the death we should have died. Faithfully God raised Him from the dead, defeated the sin and death and opened the way of life for all who will believe.
(2 Tim 2:13) “If we are faithful, He will remain faithful, for He cannot disown himself.”
(Romans 6:1-2) "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?"
*God can’t make anything miraculous out of your mistakes, if you don’t call it what it is and deal with it accordingly.
** God sent His own son to redeem your life because you could never redeem yourself.
The most powerful sin in your life is the one you haven’t confessed yet.
* Sometimes God has to let the sun go down so that His glory can shine through our lives. The darker it gets in our situations, the brighter God is and His goodness and grace can shine through you for the world to see.
*Hope is a desire, Faith is a demonstration.
Hope wants it to happen, faith causes it to happen and acts as if it’s already done.
Hope is the blueprint, Faith is the contractor.
*If you continue to plant, overtime, there may come a day when you see signs of life springing up all around you. But it doesn’t start with a harvest. It starts with a seed that initiates a process.
Too many people forget the promise and forfeit the payoff because they faint in the process. It’s human nature to want to skip straight from the promise to the payoff. The process is invaluable. The process is a time of strengthening. It’s a place to rely totally on God. The process is the way we grow to know God, and that’s really the whole point. If all God wanted to do was get right to the happy ending. We’d all be in heaven.
That’s not all God wants and deep down that’s not really all you want either. You want to learn to walk by faith, not by sight. And you can’t learn that without walking through periods of complete darkness. The apprehension and out-level fear you’ll feel in these stories may make you turn back and pursue something safer.
Between the promise and payoff there’s always a process and that process is the breeding ground of faith. That process has the potential to draw you closer to Jesus than you’ve ever been before. The process is the point.
